1 Description American Traveler is seeking a CVOR Surgical Tech with at least 1 year of experience and NBSTSA certification for a 13-week travel assignment at a 276-bed community hospital in Florence, SC. Details Work setting is a community hospital CVOR unit with 13 operating rooms Required case experience includes vascular, thoracic, open heart, and endovascular procedures Preferred case experience includes general surgery robotics, urology robotics, GYN robotics, neurosurgery, and orthopedics/spine including total joints Schedule is days, either 4x10s (7:00a-5:00p) or 5x8s (7:00a-3:00p) On-call is required with up to 3 call shifts per week and weekend call every other weekend Floating between service lines within the facility is required Epic is the charting system; experience preferred Radiation badge required and must be provided by the candidate's agency Requirements Minimum of 1 year of well-rounded CVOR surgical tech experience BLS certification from the American Heart Association required (AHA only; NCCT not accepted) NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted) Experience with vascular, thoracic, open heart, and endovascular cases required SSN and Driver's License required for consideration 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration License required if applicable Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information First-time travelers are accepted for this position Candidates who were previously employed (including PRN) at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration; RTO requests submitted after that point will not be accepted Orientation modules are completed pre-start and average approximately 4 hours Scrubs are provided by the facility Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November, with peak activity in August and September), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
