+ Work hours: PRN•As Needed, Day Shift, Monday & Wednesday, 8:00am•5:00pm, additional days may vary based on clinic need +
Travel:
25% to surrounding clinics as needed (mileage reimbursement provided)
Surgical Specialists Clinic Highlights:
+ Strong teamwork and collaboration + Compassion and empathy to our patients and the Team + Supports the needs of 2 Providers at our Arlington Clinic Here's What You Need + Associates Degree Related field (preferred) + Graduate of accredited ultrasound technology program (preferred) + 1 Year Related experience in a Vascular Laboratory (required) _and_ + RVT•Registered Vascular Technologist Upon Hire (required) _or_ + RVS•Registered Vascular Sonographer Upon Hire (required) + Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases + Have working knowledge of vascular arterial and venous anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature + Have excellent communication skills + Have good computer skills + Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism What You Will Do + Delivers care to patients utilizing the Registered Vascular Technician Process + Will perform diagnostic carotid arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities and venous studies of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAVL guidelines. + Prepares and maintains operations logs and calibrates and maintains equipment, and order supplies when necessary. + Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing vascular procedure. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Conducts vascular laboratory studies in accordance with the vascular laboratory protocols. + Ensures that all vascular laboratory studies are scheduled in an appropriate manner to satisfy the clinical situation. + Maintains the vascular laboratory quality assurance database. + Reviews test results with interpreting physician.
