1 Description American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with cardiovascular and vascular experience for a hybrid CVOR/Cath Lab hospital position. Details hospital CVOR unit supporting hybrid procedures involving both CVOR and Cath Lab teams Community hospital setting Works in CVOR, General OR, and Hybrid OR settings Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (6:00 AM-2:30 PM), firm schedule Cerner charting experience preferred Some holiday coverage expected Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist required Community hospital experience required BLS certification required NBSTSA or NCCT certification required License required if applicable Pending license accepted at submission but must be active before start date Experience with vascular procedures including AAA repair, aortobifemoral bypass, carotid endarterectomy, EVAR, TEVAR, and femoral popliteal bypass graft Experience with cardiovascular procedures including CABG, mitral valve replacement, aortic aneurysm repair, and pericardial window Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE, laser safety, specimen handling/labeling, and universal protocol (time out) procedures Experience with thoracic procedures such as mediastinoscopy and VATS preferred Organ donation/transplant experience preferred Vein stripping experience preferred Additional Information Support cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures within a hybrid OR environment Assist with hybrid procedures combining CVOR and Cath Lab techniques Perform sterile field setup, instrument preparation, and specimen handling Adhere to universal protocol and time-out procedures for patient safety Follow strict isolation precautions and PPE protocols Onsite drug screening required, including testing for marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation Candidates should avoid CBD or other products that could result in a positive drug screen prior to arrival Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted RTO must be submitted with application for consideration First-time travelers may be considered for this position
