Qualifications & Skills:

Active certification as a Certified First Assist, CVOR Tech, or First Assist Tech Minimum of 2 years' recent, relevant clinical experience in cardiovascular operating rooms Current BLS and ACLS certifications (as required by role) Strong understanding of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and cardiovascular procedures Keen attention to detail, adaptability, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

Assist surgeons throughout cardiovascular surgical procedures as the primary first assist Prepare, maintain, and ensure the sterility of surgical fields and instruments Accurately anticipate the surgeon's needs during each stage of the procedure Monitor patient condition and communicate with surgical team members Support pre- and post-operative patient care Document interventions and adhere to facility safety regulations
