2 Description American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR position requiring 2 years of hospital experience and proficiency in cardiac and thoracic surgical cases. Details Hospital CVOR unit located on the 4th floor of a dedicated heart hospital Performs cardiac cases including CABG, valve replacement/repair, aortic dissection repair, and TAVRs Performs thoracic surgery cases including daVinci-assisted lobectomy, wedge resections, and mediastinal lymph node biopsy Involved in procedures initiating ECMO and pericardial window Scrubs cardiac cases requiring bypass and related mediastinal and thoracic procedures, including open thoracotomy and VATS Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Unit hours of operation are 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM On-call requirements apply, with call starting at 3:00 PM when assigned Weekend call may be assigned for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 13-week assignment length Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital surgical technology setting Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required State license required if applicable BLS certification required ACLS certification required Proficient in scrubbing complex cardiac and thoracic surgical cases No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Hospital-provided scrubs required for this unit Support a variety of complex cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures Assist with procedures initiating ECMO and other advanced cardiothoracic interventions Work within a cardiac and thoracic surgery team in a dedicated heart hospital setting Radius rule requires candidates to live more than 50 miles from the facility, with no exceptions for local candidates
