The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-volume surgical environment and preferably at least 1 year of orthopedic surgical experience . This role is ideal for a surgical technologist who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced setting and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and sterile technique. Responsibilities Review and prepare case carts prior to each surgical procedure Set up surgical instrumentation, equipment, and sterile supplies before operations Maintain a sterile field throughout all procedures Assist with sterilization and processing of instruments as needed Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures and efficiently pass instruments and supplies Assist surgeons during orthopedic, podiatry, and ENT procedures Verify instrument counts and properly dispose of materials post-surgery Ensure compliance with infection prevention and safety protocols Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and surgical staff Perform additional duties as assigned

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification/license
• Registered with the Virginia Medical Board
• Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced surgery center environment

Preferred:

• Minimum 1 year of orthopedic surgical experience
• Experience assisting with orthopedic and/or podiatry proceduresWhy Join Us?
