1 Description American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with strong ortho, neuro, and general surgical experience for a Level I trauma OR position. Details Level I trauma OR for southwest Virginia with 25 OR suites and 24x7 on-site nursing coverage Services include general, orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, gynecology, oncology, robotic, ENT, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and sports medicine Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, infants, pediatrics, and geriatrics Uses specialized equipment including ROSA, Si and Xi daVinci robots, Stealth, O-Arm, and HIPEC 3x12 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM, Friday through Sunday, plus holidays No on-call requirement Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience required BLS certification required NBSTSA, NCCT, or military OR Tech certification accepted VA or other state license required if applicable Strong general, orthopedic (total joints), and neurosurgery experience required Big belly/crani/ortho trauma experience highly preferred Robotic training highly preferred Additional Information Level I Trauma Center for Adult & Pediatrics at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital Must work one holiday per 13-week contract First-time travelers will be considered Local candidates are not accepted; radius rules apply Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2-week period All RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be submitted upfront Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
