In this position, you'll play a key role in supporting our surgeons and nurses by preparing the OR, managing instruments and supplies, and maintaining a safe, sterile field. The right candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, steady focus under pressure, and a commitment to excellent patient care. Key Responsibilities Ready operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and necessary supplies. Provide direct support during procedures by anticipating surgeon needs, handling specimens, and assisting with medications. Monitor and maintain sterile technique; complete counts of instruments, sponges, and sharps. Manage instrument cleaning, decontamination, and autoclaving. Contribute to smooth case flow with efficient room turnover, equipment upkeep, and coordination with supply staff. Qualifications Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program and current Washington State registration. At least one year of OR experience; ambulatory surgery experience a plus. Current BLS certification. NBSTSA national certification strongly preferred. Ability to adapt quickly to different surgeon styles and procedures. Detail-oriented with strong communication and teamwork skills. Familiarity with EHR systems and knowledge of suturing and patient safety protocols.
