Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Surgical Technologist, an essential member of the operating room that ensures surgical procedures are performed efficiently, safely, and with the highest standards of patient care. In this role, you will assist surgeons and nurses by preparing the operating environment, managing surgical instruments, and maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Your expertise will directly contribute to successful surgeries across a variety of specialties, including trauma, pediatrics, and critical care settings. This is a paid position committed to fostering professional growth and delivering exceptional patient outcomes. Duties Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and managing surgical tools with precision. Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination. Monitor patient vital signs and physiological responses throughout surgery, providing critical support as needed. Collect and document data related to surgical procedures, patient responses, and equipment usage in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic or other EHR platforms. Support anesthesia teams by managing airway equipment and assisting with patient positioning for optimal access. Ensure compliance with hospital policies related to safety, infection control, and patient care standards in both hospital and ambulatory surgery center environments. Experience Proven experience working as a Surgical Technologist in hospital settings or ambulatory surgery centers. Demonstrated proficiency with OR procedures, sterile techniques, suturing, and anatomy knowledge. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology necessary for effective patient care delivery. Pay:
$28.00 - $38.00 per hour
