Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Advance your surgical support career by taking on a rewarding contract opportunity as a certified Operating Room Technician (ORT) or Surgical Technologist. This role is crucial to ensuring smooth surgical procedures and supporting the perioperative team with expert skill and professionalism.
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent. Demonstrated experience and proficiency in operating room technologies and sterile techniques. Ability to effectively assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthetists during procedures. In-depth knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and safety standards. Strong organizational and adaptability skills in a fast-paced environment. Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms by ensuring equipment, instruments, and supplies are set up and sterilized appropriately. Assist surgical teams by passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and managing specimens as directed. Monitor and maintain infection control standards at all times. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during operations. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare staff to support patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Handle post-operative clean-up and preparation for subsequent cases.
