4 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a CVOR position requiring cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery experience. Details Acute care hospital setting within the CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) Common cases include cardiac surgery (CABG, valve repair/replacement, ECMO, transplant), thoracic surgery (robotic, endoscopic, and open procedures such as lung resection, VATS, esophagostomy, POEM, hiatal hernia repair), and vascular surgery (diagnostic angiography, percutaneous interventions, endarterectomy, dialysis access management, AAA repair) Uses

system Day and evening shift availability with flexible scheduling 40 hours per week guaranteed On-call required, including one night per week and one weekend per month with a 30-minute response time May float within other services in the OR Holiday call coverage as needed Clinicians will onboard at an alternate WVU facility for at least one week before transitioning to this location Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience required Experience in cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery required Strong hands-on experience required; travel experience preferred BLS certification (AHA) License required if applicable No new travelers or new clinicians will be considered for this role Additional Information Assist with sterile field setup and instrumentation for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures A charge person is present in the OR each day Ceil blue surgical scrubs provided by the hospital One week of unit orientation provided Housing available for on-call shifts when needed First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Travelers who previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying Travelers cannot work within the WVU system for longer than a year without taking a 2-year break; cumulative experience applies Local candidates within 50 miles of this facility are not eligible for travel positions
