Job Description

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Monitor/Telemetry Technician at Chilton Medical Center. Required hours vary (8-hour shifts) including weekends. Starting rate $24.36/hr.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern, and prior variances. Observes screen of cardiac monitor and listens for alarm to identify abnormal variation in heart rhythm. Informs supervisor or General Duty Nurse of variances to initiate examination of patient. Measures length and height of patient's heart rhythm pattern on graphic tape readout, using calipers, and posts information on patient records. Answers calls for assistance from patients and inquiries concerning patients from medical staff. Prepares documentation regarding evaluation results, progress reports, and personalized treatment plans. May perform relevant duties as needed.
Requirements:
HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required. Completion of Basic Arrhythmia course required. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to pass telemetry pre-test. Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association preferred or will obtain through AHS within 3 months of hire date.
Relevant Experience:
Current Monitor Tech experience and/or recent clinical experience preferred. #LI-AM1
