Jump-start your career as a Monitor Tech today with HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital. We are seeking a part-time Monitor Tech for a mixed shift position. The shift will be 1 day shift and 1 night shift per week. Hours at 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Job Summary and Qualifications As a Monitor Technician, you will assist the nurse and/or physician in providing support to the unit as assigned and supervised by the nurse. In this important role, you will monitor surveillance and documentation of cardiac rhythms and will provide communication of patient needs to the appropriate caregiver. What you will do in this role:
- You will observe for changes in heart rate, rhythm, or other centrally monitored parameters, reporting significant events to the nurse or Charge Nurse.
- You will admit/discharge patients from monitoring system.
- You will maintain accurate telemetry transmitter monitor log books.
What qualifications you will need:
High School Diploma/GED required Previous telemetry monitoring and unit clerk experience preferred Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Completion of a supervised course in Basic EKG and Arrhythmia recognition within 90 days of hire.
