Telemetry Technician - Per Diem (7a-7p)

Experience Required:
1-3 Years Join the First Choice Nurses Team First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is currently seeking experienced and dependable Telemetry Technicians for per diem opportunities throughout the Hampton Roads area. Responsibilities Monitor and interpret EKG/telemetry readings Observe and recognize cardiac rhythm changes and dysrhythmias Promptly notify nursing staff and appropriate personnel of abnormal findings Accurately document telemetry observations Operate telemetry monitoring systems and equipment safely and effectively Ensure proper functioning of telemetry equipment at all times Maintain compliance with facility policies and patient safety standards Qualifications Minimum 1-3 years of recent Telemetry Technician experience required Active Telemetry Certification required Current BLS/CPR Certification required PPD/TB screening within the past year
COVID-19
vaccination or approved declination Must successfully pass a Basic Arrhythmia Exam Completion of a Monitor Technician Surveillance Program/Course preferred Candidates without certification must complete a certificate program within 90 days of hire One year of monitor technician experience within the last 5 years may be accepted in lieu of the course Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs without restrictions Additional credentials may be required depending on facility assignment.
