Job Description
Position Summary The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasound equipment to obtain and document accurate clinical images and data. This role supports patient care by ensuring timely, high-quality imaging, clear communication of results to providers, and compliance with all regulatory and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols Prepare patients for procedures and provide clear, compassionate communication Identify patient needs and follow age-specific care guidelines Accurately document exam results and maintain required records and logs Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and clinic policies Monitor patient condition during exams and notify a nurse or provider of any changes Assist with scheduling and coordinating ultrasound appointments Participate in quality assurance activities Provide guidance and support to assigned staff; assist with training and supervision of per diem personnel as needed Education & Experience High School diploma or equivalent Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program Current registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Certificate of completion from an approved Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program Minimum of two years of experience as an OB/GYN Ultrasound Technologist
