Job Description

Arizona Advanced Imaging is seeking an experienced, dependable, and patient-focused Ultrasound Technologist / Front Desk Coordinator to join our team at our Campbell Avenue location in Tucson. This is a hybrid clinical and front-office position. The ideal candidate is an experienced ultrasound technologist who is also comfortable assisting with front-desk responsibilities, patient check-in, scheduling, insurance information, and general office support. Our practice primarily serves personal injury patients, so professionalism, compassion, attention to detail, and the ability to provide an excellent patient experience are especially important. Ultrasound Responsibilities The technologist will perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including: Venous Doppler studies Arterial Doppler studies Carotid ultrasound Pelvic ultrasound Transvaginal ultrasound General ultrasound examinations as needed Musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound is preferred but not required The technologist will be responsible for obtaining high-quality diagnostic images, maintaining accurate documentation, following established protocols, and communicating professionally with patients and the clinical team. Front Desk Responsibilities When not performing ultrasound examinations, responsibilities may include: Greeting and checking in patients Scheduling and confirming appointments Answering phones and responding to patient questions Verifying patient demographic and insurance information Collecting and documenting required paperwork Assisting with referrals and authorizations as needed Maintaining accurate patient records Communicating with referring offices, attorneys, and other parties when appropriate Supporting general office operations and keeping the front desk organized Qualifications Previous ultrasound experience is required Experience performing venous and arterial Doppler studies is strongly preferred Experience with carotid, pelvic, and transvaginal ultrasound MSK ultrasound experience is a plus, but not required Strong patient-care and communication skills Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Ability to transition comfortably between clinical ultrasound duties and front-office responsibilities Previous medical front-office experience is preferred but not required for the right ultrasound technologist Schedule & Opportunity This is currently a part-time position, with the potential to transition into a full-time role as the practice grows and the right candidate proves to be a good fit. We are looking for someone who wants to become a dependable part of our team and is interested in growing with the practice. Hours & Scheduling Our center is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. This is currently a part-time position, and we are looking for someone who can commit to working at least 2-3 consistent days per week. Consistency is important as we work to build and grow our ultrasound services and patient volume. There is potential for the position to transition to full-time as the modality grows and patient volume increases.
