Cardiac Sonographer Requirements:
Minimum one (1) year of experience performing cardiac diagnostic procedure and related responsibilities required. 2+ years is preferred.
ARDMS/RDCS
certification is required. CCI/RCS certification in Echo Demonstrate professionalism and effective interpersonal skills in a diverse population. Ability to be self-directed and organized to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Must be up to date on all vaccinations as required for hospital employment and pass any needed health screenings, including drug screening and background check. Must have a current
BLS/CPR Cardiac Sonographer Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrate proficiency in medical diagnostic imaging procedures. Communicate pertinent clinical information and ultrasound findings to the radiologist. Provide excellent care to their patients while maintaining a good rapport and excellent service to all client hospitals and staff. Utilize systems such as PACS systems and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to obtain or enter appropriate care data.
Physical Effort:
Must be capable of lifting 50-100 lbs, including patient lifting, positioning aids, portable ultrasound machines, and assisting with minor patient movements. Requires physical flexibility to bend, reach, twist, and adjust equipment or patients as needed. Requires prolonged standing or walking while performing scans, moving between patients, and positioning equipment. Physical endurance is essential to complete multiple consecutive scans. Roshal's Ultrasound and Echo Technologists perform a variety of routine and emergency ultrasound imaging and other sonographic procedures with minimal supervision, requiring independent judgment.
