DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs satisfactory exams.
- Uses two (2) patient identifiers when greeting patients.
- Demonstrates use of equipment to produce diagnostic studies.
- Reconciles images and paperwork in PACS.
- Cleans patient care equipment and surfaces.
- Uses PPE properly.
- Communicates effectively with staff and patients.
- Works with Leads and radiologists to meet department needs.
- Completes QA and QC as needed.
- Stock supplies and notifies Leads if supplies are needed.
- Schedules patients and provides preps as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ year post graduate sonography experience
- Experience with ABD, Small Parts, Breast, OB/GYN, and Vascular sonography
- AHA BLS certified within 30 days of hire and maintain while employed
- ARDMS credential
- Experience in Echocardiograms (preferred)
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is primarily worked in a clinical environment. The position will require the ability to lift, and carry, up to 50 pounds and push or pull over 50 pounds. The position will require bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, reaching overhead, sitting and standing frequently. Occasionally the position requires climbing, kneeling and crawling. The position requires continuous finger dexterity and fine manipulation. All basic life functions such as hearing, seeing, speaking, standing and walking are required. The employee must demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
