Job Description

DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHER
Job Summary:
Performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures according to established protocols and physician direction. Produces diagnostic images of internal body tissues and organs and supports ultrasound department operations.
Education & Experience:
Diploma/Certificate from an Ultrasound college or school (Required)
Licenses & Certifications:
ARDMS, CCI-RVS, or
ARRT-S/ARRT-VS
certification (Required) BLS certification (Required)
Key Responsibilities:
Performs ultrasound procedures and produces quality diagnostic images. Documents and presents images, findings, calculations, and measurements to physicians. Provides patient care, prepares and positions patients, and monitors vital signs. Observes patients for reactions or complications and intervenes as needed. Maintains accurate patient records, files, and billing information. Maintains confidentiality and protects patient medical images and data. Prepares rooms and patients for ultrasound procedures. Verifies equipment is operational before daily use. Supervises and mentors ultrasound personnel. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. #Workwolf
