Job Description

1. Continually strives to make the best use of time during assigned shift through careful coordination of daily tasks. 2. Performs sonographic scanning per established protocols and procedures. Consults with the Radiologists for any clinical deviations concerning patient care/scan protocol. 3. Promotes patient safety through proper sterilization procedures and maintenance of the intra-cavity scanning probes. 4. Remains abreast of new procedures, equipment, and methods along with participation in evaluation and application. 5. Responsible for communicating with medical staff, interdepartmental personnel, and public regarding customer needs. 6. Maintains extremely confidential and accurate records, manually and electronically, to ensure appropriate patient data is available. 7. Is responsible for monitoring and ensuring patient charts/records are complete and accurate. 8. Performs all other duties as assigned. Experience Preferred Graduate of an ARRT approved program or an Ultrasound approved program. In addition, must be ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) ultrasound registered or ultrasound registry eligible. 1 year experience within Ultrasound preferred.
