Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Vascular Ultrasound Technician to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will utilize advanced ultrasound technology to perform diagnostic vascular imaging, assisting physicians in evaluating blood flow, vessel integrity, and related physiological functions. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment planning within a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, possesses strong technical skills, and thrives in collaborative settings that prioritize innovation and excellence. Duties Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations, including Doppler studies, to assess arterial and venous systems. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a professional demeanor. Operate ultrasound equipment with precision, adjusting settings to optimize image quality for diagnostic evaluation. Collaborate with physicians and interventional radiologists to interpret imaging results and provide detailed reports. Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures. Monitor patient vital signs and physiological responses throughout imaging sessions, ensuring safety at all times. Document all procedures accurately in patient records, including technical details and observations related to anatomy and physiology. Qualifications Certification as a Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) or equivalent credential from an accredited program. Proven experience performing vascular ultrasound procedures in clinical or hospital settings. Knowledge of interventional radiology techniques, including cardiac catheterization and cath lab procedures. Familiarity with telemetry monitoring, vital signs assessment, and emergency medicine protocols. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation methods relevant to vascular health. Experience working in Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma environments is highly preferred. Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams specializing in interventional cardiology and emergency medicine.
