Category Imaging - Echo Job Type Contract Advance your cardiac imaging career with this contract opportunity as an Echo Tech, specializing in adult and pediatric echocardiography. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate within a dynamic and supportive environment, performing challenging and meaningful work as part of a large structural heart program in a high-volume department. Hours:
10-hour day shifts, 8:00 am - 6:30 pm 40 hours per week One night of on-call per week (typically a weekday; possible weekend) Modified self-scheduling with manager approval, created in 6-week increments No mandatory weekend rotation at this time Option to request up to 7 days off (RTO)
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of acute care Echo experience (first-time travelers welcomed) Must be confident performing pediatric echocardiography ARDMS-RDS or RDCS certification and current BLS required Experience with TEE, structural heart patients, and a range of cardiac diagnoses (CHF, pre/post Cath/CABG/Watchman/TAVR, PFOs, stroke, etc.) Comfort with pericardiocentesis, measuring EFs, and preliminary findings reporting Fetal scan and stress test experience preferred (not required) Ability to help orient new hires is a plus
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive echocardiograms for pediatric and adult inpatients and outpatients Support advanced structural programs and collaborate with cardiologists Flex to bedside for inpatient evaluations as required Document and submit preliminary findings for physician review Participate in department call rotation and holiday coverage as assigned
