III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. Subjected to inside environmental condition (i.e., low light setting). Exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
Board registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS). Current BLS certification. ACLS certification desired.
B. EXPERIENCE
Prior recent experience as a cardiac and/or vascular sonographer in an acute health care facility preferred. Ability to use critical thinking skills to solve problems and make decisions. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests and work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team.
