Flexible/As needed What you will do: 1. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. 2. Performs ultrasound examinations using proper patient positioning, appropriate technical factors, and operation of 2D, M‑mode, and Doppler equipment with appropriate transducers to accurately locate, measure, and document anatomical structures across the lifespan. 3. Assists radiologists during ultrasound‑guided procedures by preparing equipment, supporting image acquisition, and providing procedural assistance in accordance with departmental protocols and professional standards. 4. Performs clinical assessments and utilizes cognitive sonographic skills to identify and differentiate normal and pathological findings, adapting procedures based on clinical and diagnostic information and images. 5. Confirms examination orders and relevant clinical information through review of requisitions and charts while evaluating patient preparation and scanning protocol.Qualifications:
Successful completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is preferred, or completion of a two-year allied health program, or a bachelor's degree. . Active registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in one (1) of the following credentials:- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS) Candidates who are not ARDMS‑registered at the time of hire must obtain ARDMS registration in one of the above credentials within one (1) year of hire.
