Job Description

A hospital in Ottumwa, Iowa is looking to bring on a junior-level Ultrasound Technologist within its imaging department. This is a fully on-site, in-person role with no travel involved. Please note that relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available for this position. The Ultrasound Technologist will carry out general ultrasound examinations on-site, contributing to the facility's diagnostic imaging services. This opportunity is a natural fit for an early-career sonographer who brings a foundational understanding of general ultrasound practice and is eager to build clinical experience within a hospital environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct general ultrasound examinations following established departmental protocols Capture high-quality diagnostic images to support accurate physician interpretation Prepare patients for procedures and communicate each step of the examination process Ensure proper operation and upkeep of ultrasound equipment Record examination findings with accuracy and attention to detail Work closely with radiologists and imaging colleagues to meet diagnostic objectives Maintain compliance with all safety guidelines and clinical standards during each exam Qualifications ARRT registration as a Radiologic Technologist and/or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer credential required, or registry eligibility in Ultrasound Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required Minimum of one year of experience in general ultrasound required Benefits Information not provided at this time
