1 Description American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel contract in Mayfield, KY, requiring RDMS or equivalent certification and proficiency across multiple sonography modalities. Details Acute care hospital ultrasound department within a 107-bed, Joint Commission-accredited facility Serves all age groups including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients Required skills include breast, abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, vascular, and biopsy imaging Preferred biopsy experience includes thyroid, breast, lymph node, prostate, paracentesis, and thoracentesis guidance Uses
GE LOGIQ
E10 and E10S ultrasound equipment 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Every other weekend coverage required On-call as needed Float requirements as needed Requirements Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience Current BLS (AHA) certification required RDMS, ARRT, or graduate of an accredited DMS program required Proficiency in breast, abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, vascular, and biopsy sonographic examinations Certification or licensure required to practice as an Ultrasound Technologist in Kentucky, if applicable Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere Additional Information Performs sonographic examinations and procedures as ordered by referring physicians across a wide range of modalities Acts as a consultant and educational resource for physicians and staff regarding scan appropriateness and accuracy Responsible for maintaining equipment, supplies, and a clean, orderly work area Orientation is held weekly on Mondays Any color scrubs are acceptable; professional appearance required — casual wear is not permitted
