1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel contract, requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification. Details Vascular ultrasound unit within a medical center setting Average daily census of 10 with approximately 5 visits per day 4x10 hour day shifts, either 6:30 AM-5:00 PM or 7:30 AM-4:00 PM No call or weekend requirements 13-week contract Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in vascular ultrasound Current BLS (AHA) required

ARDMS, ARDMS RVT, CCI

RVS, or

RDCS-RVT

preferred Proficiency in general ultrasound and abdominal aorta scanning required Preferred skills include vascular and aortic studies, arterial and venous duplex (upper and lower extremities), carotid studies, color flow and Doppler studies, dialysis graft evaluation, renal artery duplex, peripheral vascular resistance, and stent evaluation Compact or Louisiana state license required if applicable 2 Manager/Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RNs not acceptable) Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler Candidates must live 65+ miles from the facility (based on driver's license address) to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted Any requested time off (RTO) must be discussed during the interview process Orientation is held 5 days a week; online modules are completed during orientation In the event of an emergency, travelers may be assigned to an emergency response team and expected to remain at the facility or serve on a relief team until the event passes
