  • Travel and other reimbursements when applicable What You'll Do Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy.
Explain imaging procedures to patients to ensure understanding. Independently operate ultrasound equipment according to protocol, including assisting radiologists in guided procedures as needed. Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards. Complete timely quality control procedures and follow notification/remediation requirements. Use radiology information systems to support patient care workflows. Support departmental operations (e.g., inventory, scheduling, equipment maintenance) as directed. Adapt communication and approach to patient populations while maintaining privacy and professionalism. What You Need Required Completion of a CAHEA approved formal training program in diagnostic medical sonography 2 years of sonographer experience Maternal Fetal Medicine experience Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) Advanced certification in area(s) of specialty according to facility need Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Preferred MFM (Maternal Fetal Medicine) About the Assignment This role supports diagnostic ultrasound services within a healthcare setting, including patient-facing imaging responsibilities and ensuring study quality through adherence to protocols, quality control, and accurate communication with the care team.
