Part-time Sonographer

Qualifications:

Principal Functions:

The Sonographer provides support and care to clients and maintains professional standards of care and patient confidentiality. The Sonographer is committed to the sanctity of human life, expresses a commitment to the clinic's life-affirming mission, and has a desire to serve women in crisis. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. The Sonographer works with members of our medical and counseling teams to assure that clients are receiving the best medical and psychosocial care possible.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. A professing Christian who is in full agreement with Wellspring Life Ministry's statement of faith and mission 2. Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography to perform Limited Obstetrical Ultrasound or be registered (RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) with good standing in the state of Maryland 3. Must exhibit excellent communication skills.

Scope of Work:

1. Perform sonograms, with all appropriate documentation, to clients who are eligible for a viability ultrasound 2. Provide clients with pregnancy counseling, education, and referrals as needed. 3. Maintain accurate records, and adheres to physician's standing orders. 4. Respond to questions within the scope of training and licensing. 5. Communicate with Director of Nursing for advisement as patient assessment, history or ultrasound findings necessitate. 6. Chart ultrasound findings and any relevant information discussed with the client. 7. Be familiar with and follow all clinic policies and procedures. 8. Maintain confidentiality. This is a part time position. Flexibility to work in all three office locations: Annapolis, Bowie and Severna Park. One evening shift per week is preferable.
