Work Location:
Bel Air, Maryland Work Hours:
PRN/As Needed, Monday-Friday, 8:30a-5p
Hourly Rate:
$38.00 to $48.00 commensurate with experience

Education :
Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is accredited by the Commission Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program.
Certificates :
Active certification with ARDMS. Current compliance with CME requirements.
Professional Experience :
Breast Ultrasound and Diagnostic Procedure experience preferred. A Day in the Life of a
Diagnostic Sonographer:
Produces high-quality ultrasound images and obtain appropriate measurements for each exam. Maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and scanning technique. Communicates with the radiologist and understands and performs any necessary additional exams. Documents all applicable patient and procedure data consistently and correctly. Explains procedures adequately to patients to maximize patient comfort and cooperation. Appropriate monitoring during all phases of the procedure with special care taken to ensure patient emotional and physical well-being. Assist and/or chaperones radiologist when they are performing ultrasound exams. Assists radiologists during ultrasound biopsy procedures using appropriate sterile technique and universal precautions. Communicates patient information in a professional and courteous manner to patients and to referring physicians' offices as required. Maintains the ultrasound equipment for cleanliness and ensures proper equipment maintenance and equipment safety. Maintains a good working relationship with Radiologists and other Center staff members. Why Washington Radiology?
