MedStar Health is looking for a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Ultrasound Technologist performs, under routine supervision, Ob/Gyn sonograms, biophysical profiles, non-stress tests and AFI's. Assists with amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling procedures. Primary Duties:
Performs sonographic evaluations of fetal morphology, age, growth assessment, and color doppler studies. Performs ultrasound exams utilizing different scanning modalities as required by the patient's condition and/or examination requested. Evaluates images for quality. Photographs appropriate images utilizing multiformat cameras. May access, manipulate, store, and print M.I. digital images. Reviews processed images with physicians. Enters data to generate sonographic report. Works with physicians, nursing staff and schedulers to ensure patients are seen promptly. May assist in training and education of patients, employees, physicians, students and/or other healthcare professionals. Cleans and sterilizes equipment and procedure table before and after each procedure. May be responsible for or assist in control inventory and purchasing of supplies for assigned area.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Ultrasound. 1-2 years in OB/GYN ultrasound. RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) registered or successful completion of certification within 180 Days. This position has a hiring range of : USD $0.00 - USD $0.00 /Hr.
