Job Description

Category Imaging - Ultrasound Vascular Job Type Contract Step into a critical diagnostic role as a skilled Vascular Sonographer, providing expert care and detailed imaging for vascular assessments. This position involves an 8-week contract with full-time, guaranteed hours, ensuring both stability and professional growth in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Schedule/Hours:
40 guaranteed hours weekly 5 shifts of 8 hours each, during the day Staggered start times between 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
On-call responsibilities:
one night per week, one weekend per month
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound exams, including carotid, venous, arterial, and other peripheral studies Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and care teams to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic services Analyze sonographic findings and prepare thorough reports Maintain ultrasound equipment and follow all safety protocols Provide patient education and comfort before, during, and after procedures Meet hospital and regulatory standards for charting and documentation
Qualifications & Experience:
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) with vascular certification Valid BLS certification Current license to practice as a sonographer in Mississippi Demonstrated experience in vascular ultrasound/sonography in a clinical or hospital environment Strong attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare team
