Job Description

Lakeland Premier is excited to search for additional sonographers preparing for growth! Certified Sonographers needed for busy OB/GYN clinic. We are hiring several positions in preparation for expansion and growth! We have one full time position available and two PRN or PT positions, if you only want to work 1-2 days a week THIS is the job for you! We offer a very competitive compensation and benefit plan, which includes but not limited to paid holidays, 3 weeks vacation and only 35 hour work weeks. Insurance is very competitive for this market 401K and match. Potential possibility for sign on bonus for the right experience. We need someone with leadership qualities that can help expand our department! At least 2 year experience required. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Prepares patients for ultrasound examination Explains procedures to the patient prior to the commencement of the testing and provides patient education related to medical ultrasound. Explains procedures to assure cooperation and optimum test results. Ensures the appropriate consent and/or declinations are obtained. Conducts ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and records anatomical, pathological and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician. Assists physician during invasive procedures requiring ultrasound guidance. Maintains patient confidentiality. Maintains patient charts and records, and records and processes sonographic data and other pertinent observations made during the procedure for presentation to the interpreting physician. Code appropriately for services performed; submit completed billing work sheets daily.
Requirements:
An individual must possess a current/valid certification in diagnostic ultrasound. Must have at least 2 years of OB working experience.
