Essential Qualifications:
Proficient in performing general ultrasound imaging procedures Experience with invasive diagnostic techniques (e.g., needle biopsies, aspirations, guided exams) Ability to both work independently and under physician supervision Demonstrated skill in advising and training residents Strong analytical and communication abilities Certification by ARDMS or equivalent preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the radiologist in invasive diagnostic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort Train and standardize technique for residents across key imaging procedures Evaluate patients for any contraindications, ensuring optimal preparation Perform and analyze ultrasound exams, recognizing normal/abnormal tissues and blood flow Make real-time adjustments during exams to ensure comprehensive diagnostic data Recognize situations requiring direct observation by a radiologist Capture Doppler signal and sonographic images, recording all relevant patient data Communicate preliminary observations and findings clearly to physicians
