Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a dedicated full-time Specialty Sonographer for the Weekend shift at Methodist Women's Hospital . 24 hours a week counts as full time , and you would provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations by accurately identifying patients, explaining procedures, positioning patients appropriately, and ensuring technical and positional accuracy in accordance with departmental and ACR standards. Deliver exceptional patient-centered care by promoting comfort, understanding, and safety through age-specific communication, compassionate interactions, and individualized care practices. Manage daily workflow efficiently by prioritizing exams, coordinating procedure schedules, monitoring departmental activity, and collaborating with physicians and team members to ensure timely patient care. Review and verify imaging orders, patient demographics, clinical information, and completed exam documentation to ensure accuracy and continuity of care. Maintain proficiency in imaging technology and information systems, including Cerner, RIS, PACS, Navicare, VRAD, and related applications, to support accurate exam completion and image management. Ensure compliance with departmental policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards, including proper image identification, documentation, quality assurance, and maintenance of ARDMS credentials. Collaborate closely with radiologists and healthcare providers by reviewing imaging studies, communicating findings, and supporting diagnostic decision-making processes. Support departmental operations by participating in on-call coverage, coordinating inpatient procedure flow, managing ultrasound workflow, and assisting coworkers as needed. Provide clinical education and mentorship by training students, supporting instructors, and fostering a positive learning environment that promotes professional development. Uphold strict confidentiality and professionalism by adhering to HIPAA and FERPA requirements while demonstrating service excellence, active listening, empathy, and effective communication with patients, students, and colleagues.

Saturday 7a-7p and Sunday 11a-11p (24 hrs/week), Full-Time benefits, NICU/pediatric on call required
Salary:
Pay starts at $37.16 an hour and may increase based on work history/experience.
Job Requirements:
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered or board eligible required. Participation in mandatory inservices and continuing education as mandated by policies & procedures, and as directed by supervisors. Must be pediatric board registered one year from date of independent scanning of pediatric patients. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire. American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered or board eligible required. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registry is required with in one year of employment date. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonograpaher (RDMS) registry of the General, OB/GYN and Pediatric are the minimum requirements. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) is required to be kept active.
