Short Description Perinatal ultra sonographers, also known as perinatal sonographers or high-risk OB sonographers, are specialized healthcare professionals who perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on pregnant women, particularly those with high-risk pregnancies. They work closely with obstetricians, perinatologists, and other healthcare providers to assess fetal health and development. Experience Required 1 to 2 Years experience in high risk obstetric ultrasounds. Possess knowledge of normal and abnormal fetal anatomy and GYN anatomy. Education Requirements Graduate Ultrasound School. License/Certification Requirements Certification in OB/GYN Current ARDMS - American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
