Job Summary:
The Registered Echo Technologist will perform the duties of a staff technologist and provide assistance to the supervisor/manager. EHMC employees throughout the Medical Center will use behaviors and interpersonal communication styles that are appropriate for a hospital environment and demonstrate courtesy, dignity and respect. AIDET will be used for all patient interactions to enhance the Patient Experience. The scope of practice of the Diagnostic Ultrasound Professional includes those procedures, acts and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience, and in which he/she has demonstrated competency.

Job Essentials:
A Registered Echo Technologist will be expected to perform a highly efficient technologist scope of practice including but not limited to the following: Perform patient assessments Acquire and analyze data obtained using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies Provide a summary of findings to the physician to aid in patient diagnosis and management Use independent judgment and systematic problem solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree preferred.
License/Certification/Registry:
Echo Technologist Registration The Registered Echo Technologist is required to have passed the Registered Exam with either ARDMS or CCI. The Echo Technologist is required to have attended an accredited ultrasound program. Englewood Health provides a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.
