Perform vascular testing and diagnostic procedures on patients and prepare test data for interpretation by physicians.

Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. Graduate of an approved cardiovascular training program One year experience in all phases of non-invasive vascular testing.

Working Conditions:

General diagnostic high volume, high stress environment. Works indoors in a well lighted and ventilated area. Possibility of cuts or minor burns from instruments and equipment Some direct exposure to contagion, but risk is minimal when proper safety precautions are observed. Willingness to work with the realization that errors and incompetency may have serious consequences to patients.

Physical Demands:

Long periods of sitting with frequent standing or moving to other areas. Constant verbal communication in person or using the phone. Frequent reading of physician orders, prescriptions and medical records. Transporting patients or equipment as needed.

Mental Demands:

Ability to read and concentrate frequently to check accuracy. Requires the flexibility to perform activities due to interruptions and changes in schedule, and demands. Ability to deal with stress of dealing with internal and external customers, frequent interruptions, and working on multiple tasks. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and unbiased attitude when dealing with the staff. Organization in high pressure environment.

Equipment Operated:
