1 Description American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel contract covering general, outpatient, and OB ultrasound services, with first-time travelers welcome to apply. Details General ultrasound unit in a hospital setting Covers both outpatient and OB ultrasound services Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM On-call required two days per week and two weekends per month Floating to like units within clinical scope may be required based on facility needs Requirements Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound technologist experience ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification required and must be in hand at time of consideration New Mexico state license required; pending NM or Compact license accepted (must be obtained prior to start) — license required if applicable OB/GYN ultrasound experience required, including outpatient and general ultrasound services Epic EMR experience preferred Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Preferred skills include a broad range of OB ultrasound competencies such as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester scanning, fetal anatomical survey, nuchal translucency screening, umbilical cord Doppler, and high-risk OB/maternal fetal medicine Preferred general ultrasound skills include abdominal, pelvic, renal, small parts (breast, thyroid, testicles), and procedural support (paracentesis, thoracentesis, cyst aspiration) Preferred work setting experience includes adult, pediatric, ED, obstetrics, and high-risk OB environments Preferred transplant study experience includes liver, renal, pancreas, and pediatric Travelers will receive a brief orientation when floating to a new unit Candidates who previously worked at this facility as permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; no RTO will be approved during the first week of orientation
