In this vital role, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions, with a focus on women's health, obstetrics, gynecology, and vascular diagnostics. Your expertise will support patient care by operating advanced imaging equipment, capturing high-quality images, and collaborating closely with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient well-being while working in a fast-paced, supportive environment that values professional growth and excellence. Responsibilities Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures including prenatal, gynecological, breast, abdominal, vascular, and echocardiography imaging with precision and attention to detail. Operate and maintain medical imaging equipment effectively, ensuring optimal image quality for diagnostic purposes. Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately position patients and capture diagnostic images. Utilize Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems to document procedures and store images securely. Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and maintain a sterile environment during all procedures to promote patient safety. Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and provide compassionate care tailored to women's health and reproductive needs. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret images, discuss findings, and support diagnostic processes in obstetrics, gynecology, vascular technology diagnostics, and other specialties. Qualifications Proven experience in maternal-fetal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), breast ultrasound, or women's health diagnostics is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic radiology. Proficiency in operating medical imaging equipment including ultrasound machines for vascular ultrasound imaging, prenatal ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound, gynecological ultrasound, and echocardiography. Familiarity with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), EMR/EHR systems, and medical equipment operation. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients about procedures while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Ability to maintain aseptic technique during procedures and adhere to safety protocols at all times. Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent is preferred; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
MUST HAVE OB / GYN EXP.
