Part-Time Shift 9 Job Description The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound procedures and related techniques, including, but not limited to applying sonic energy to produce data at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner. All procedures are completed in accordance with American Society of Radiologic Technologist and other regulatory agency protocols and organizational policies, procedures and protocols. Education And Credentials Formal training in Sonography at a CAAHEP accredited facility required. Registry eligible in diagnostic imaging or other modalities preferred. American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS): and RVT(VT) certified or RVT (VT) certification eligible; certification exam to be taken 12 months from hire required. SDMS and/or ARRT in diagnostic imaging or other modalities preferred. Experience Hospital or Medical office general ultrasonography experience required. Proficient in other ultrasound studies (e.g., DVT, Abdominal, small parts) including ultrasound guided biopsies preferred. Requires critical thinking skills, working collaboratively with a variety of licensed and non-licensed professionals internal and external to hospital operations. Takes initiative to apply clinical knowledge and skills in patient education and clinical procedures. Uses sound and decisive judgment in emergent situations, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Makes appropriate referrals to subject matter experts. Manages time effectively in order to achieve multiple concurrent responsibilities.

Salary Range:
