This contract opportunity values those skilled in general ultrasound as well as certified sonographers, offering a rewarding environment to further your professional journey.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Completed formal training in diagnostic medical sonography (ARDMS registry preferred) Proficient in performing general ultrasound imaging procedures Demonstrated ability to produce and interpret high-quality sonographic images Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and healthcare staff Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multi-task effectively within a clinical setting Current BLS certification required
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time contract position; schedule details to be coordinated with department needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct accurate and timely general ultrasound procedures according to physician orders Properly operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring patient safety and image quality Document patient histories, maintain exam records, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Collaborate with healthcare team members to support comprehensive patient assessment and care Explain procedures to patients, address questions compassionately, and provide a supportive environment Assist with the management of imaging supplies and departmental cleanliness
