Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Ultrasound Technologist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Your expertise will support patient care by performing detailed ultrasound examinations. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with precision, including obstetric, gynecologic, abdominal, and vascular imaging. Apply advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately capture images that meet clinical standards. Utilize medical terminology effectively to document procedures and communicate findings clearly to physicians. Maintain strict aseptic technique during all examinations to ensure patient safety and infection control. Assist in specialized areas such as maternal-fetal medicine, providing detailed assessments for high-risk pregnancies. Operate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and equipment safety. Educate patients about procedures, addressing their concerns with empathy and clear communication to enhance comfort and cooperation. Collaborate closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and support diagnosis. Adhere to hospital policies regarding medical imaging standards, patient privacy laws (HIPAA), and safety protocols. Skills Proficiency in sonography techniques, including 2D/3D imaging and Doppler ultrasound. Solid understanding of medical imaging principles and diagnostic radiology standards. Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures to patients and collaborating with medical teams. Deep familiarity with anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound imaging. Ability to maintain aseptic technique consistently during procedures to prevent infections. Knowledge of patient care best practices, demonstrating compassion while maintaining professionalism. Pay:
$35.00 - $50.00 per hour
