Ultrasound Technician - Portable New York Home X-ray New York, NY Job Details Full-time $45 - $57 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications HIPAA Driver's License Driving Patient interaction Sonography Time management Full Job Description We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Ultrasound Technician to join our healthcare team either full-time, part-time or pier diem. In this role, you will provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services at various mobile sites including patient homes, clinics, nursing facilities, and partner healthcare locations. You will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment, acquiring diagnostic-quality images, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic general, vascular, echocardiograms ultrasound exams Travel to scheduled appointments within assigned territory Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during procedures. Accurately document procedures, maintain patient records, and upload images to the designated system. Communicate effectively with physicians, care teams, and scheduling personnel. Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment according to infection control protocols. Troubleshoot equipment issues and report as necessary. Adhere to HIPAA and company policies at all times.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
Certification:
ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT (S) certification required (modality-specific certifications may be needed).
Experience:
1-2 years of clinical ultrasound experience preferred; new graduates will be considered based on training. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must be able to lift/move equipment and assist patients as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Strong patient care and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible, mobile schedule. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Familiarity with portable ultrasound machines and digital health systems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to enter and exit patient homes and navigate various environments (e.g., stairs, small spaces). Salary will depend on experience
