Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity in diagnostic imaging where your expertise in ultrasound will make a direct impact on patient care. A leading healthcare facility is seeking an experienced ultrasound technologist/sonographer for a contract assignment, utilizing advanced technology to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Responsibilities:
Perform general ultrasound procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images Prepare and position patients for imaging exams, explaining procedures clearly and compassionately Operate ultrasound equipment and maintain accurate patient records in accordance with facility protocols Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review and clarify findings Adhere to safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards at all times Maintain equipment, reporting problems or malfunctions to appropriate staff Stay current on advances in sonographic techniques and best practicesQualifications:
Completion of an accredited program in diagnostic medical sonography or ultrasound technology Current certification by ARDMS or equivalent credentialing body Proficiency in general ultrasound imaging, with the ability to perform a variety of diagnostic exams Previous experience as a sonographer in a clinical or hospital setting Strong patient care and communication skills Attention to detail, time management, and adaptability in a fast-paced environmentBenefits:
