A contract opportunity is available for a motivated and skilled Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer with experience in general ultrasound procedures. This position offers the chance to work with a supportive healthcare team and serve patients with compassion and professionalism.
Qualifications & Experience:
Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or equivalent required Proficiency in general ultrasound imaging, including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts Minimum of one year of recent, hands-on experience as an Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Strong understanding of ultrasound physics, imaging protocols, and equipment operation Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and collaborating with medical staff Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Responsibilities:
Conduct a variety of general ultrasound procedures, adhering to established safety and quality standards Ensure precise image capture and maintain the integrity of all patient documentation Prepare patients for procedures, explain techniques, and answer any questions Collaborate closely with radiologists and referring providers to facilitate timely diagnostic assessments Perform quality control tests on equipment and report any maintenance needs Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
