Position Summary:

Performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, which require independent judgment and initiative. The procedures include but are not limited to Abdominal, OB/GYN, Small Parts, Arterial and Venus Vascular exams, and Guidance procedures. Maintains ultrasound equipment. Call is required.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform abdominal, OB-GYN, neuro, vascular, breast, and special procedures/exams (i.e. biopsies, amniocentesis, etc.) as required. Accurately identify normal or pathological processes and distinguish them from artifacts. Document and record information required on images and requisitions. This includes procedural measurement pages. Become proficient in the use of Cerner for patient/reporting information entry and review. Able to proficiently send image and documentation as needed for off-site review to imaging review service; knows how to troubleshoot transmission problems when they arise.
