1 Description American Traveler is seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and ARDMS certification for a 13-week travel contract in Oregon. Details Acute care hospital setting in a general ultrasound unit Performs 2D, 3D, M-Mode, and Doppler imaging applications across a broad range of procedures Procedures include abdominal, OB/GYN, breast, neurologic, small parts, non-invasive vascular (liver and renal Doppler), and pediatric hips and spines Invasive procedures include breast biopsies/FNAs, thoracentesis, paracentesis, thyroid biopsies/FNAs, muscle biopsies, liver biopsies, and native and transplant renal biopsies Patient population spans infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Floating required to other areas within the hospital and potentially to a nearby affiliate hospital — refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation No on-call requirement Charting performed in Epic (experience required) GE and Philips equipment experience required Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist Active ARDMS certification with AB (Abdomen) and OB/GYN registries required BLS certification required Epic EMR experience required GE and Philips ultrasound equipment experience required Active Oregon state license required if applicable COVID vaccination required — no exemptions Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required for consideration Additional Information Acquires diagnostic images with accuracy and efficiency using optimal skills and knowledge of ultrasound equipment Contributes to a collaborative environment that integrates education, research, and clinical leadership OBMI (OB Maternal Imaging) pending candidates are acceptable Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction applies Requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration, with no more than 2 weeks of RTO Former employees or previous travelers at this facility must have been away for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler First-time travelers should check with their recruiter regarding eligibility for this position
