Job Description

Work 1 day per week (6.5 hrs.) making a difference in the lives of women in your community! Flexible hours with negotiable pay based on experience. Hope Clinic for Women is a faith-based, life-affirming organization that offers a compassionate and supportive environment. As part of our team, you will play a key role in providing essential services to women, supporting their health and well-being.
Requirements:
Two-Year RN Degree from a College or university; and one-year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current RN License or Current BSN License. Willing to complete Limited Obstetric Ultrasound Training and sign a retention agreement. Professional, yet friendly and compassionate demeanor and good communicator. Proficient with computers and basic office operations. Achieve/maintain BLS Certification. Valid Driver's License.
Responsibilities:
Nursing Responsibilities:
Conduct intakes and assess patient needs and make nursing judgments that reflect safe nurse practices. Administer pregnancy tests. Explain pregnancy testing process to patients. Clean instruments and equipment; maintain stock of supplies. Conduct specified laboratory tests as directed by the Medical Director's Standing Orders. Administer nursing care and treatment in accordance with the Medical Director's standing orders. Maintain accurate patient records. Record information in logbooks. Investigate and resolve concerns, referring to the Nurse Manager, Executive Director, or Medical Director as appropriate. Attend Medical Executive Meetings as requested. Attend medical training and complete continuing education pertinent to the clinic's practices as requested. Perform other nursing duties as requested by Nurse Manager. Assist in auditing charts.
Sonography Responsibilities:
Perform clinical assessment and limited obstetric ultrasound examinations. Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images. Use independent judgment during the exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings. Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information and medical history, and communicate findings to the Medical Director or appropriate physician. Assume responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients while they are in the sonographer's care. Maintain a daily log of patients seen. Maintain ultrasound equipment and work area and maintain adequate supplies. Participate in annual skills advancement and assessment for competency in performing ultrasounds and has documentation of original competency and maintenance of skills. Maintain competencies (5-10 CEUs/CMEs) related to sonography annually. Why Join Us? Work in a faith-based organization that makes a positive impact on the community.
