Category Imaging - Echo Job Type Contract Step into a vital diagnostic role as an Echo Tech where your imaging expertise will support patient care and accurate cardiovascular assessments. This contract position focuses on performing high-quality echocardiography procedures in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Qualifications:
Completion of a recognized Echocardiography or Cardiovascular Technology program Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) Proficient in performing echocardiograms, including M-mode, 2D, Doppler, and color flow imaging Solid understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology Familiarity with hospital imaging equipment and electronic medical record systems Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and healthcare professionals Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct diagnostic echocardiography examinations according to physician orders and established guidelines Set up and operate imaging equipment for optimal results Review images for clarity and completeness, adapting techniques as needed Collaborate with cardiologists and clinical teams to interpret findings and facilitate patient care Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards for patient confidentiality Ensure the cleanliness and safety of imaging workspaces and equipment Educate patients about exam procedures and provide reassurance during tests This contract opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and professional healthcare setting.
